Dr. Warach’s approach to therapy blends genuine compassion with a steadfast commitment to personal and professional growth. Dr. Warach takes a holistic, mind-body approach to mental wellness and specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based treatments.
He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Columbia University Medical Center and was formerly an assistant clinical professor at Stony Brook Medicine. There, he was a founding member of the Faculty Wellness Program; provided extensive psychological services to students, physicians, nurses, academics, and other professionals; and was actively involved in the training of psychiatrists and psychologists. His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and featured in media outlets including BBC Science Focus, Psychology Today, UK Daily Mail, PsyPost, and Infobae.

Dr. Warach was previously a corporate attorney and is familiar with the relentless demands of high-pressure professional and academic environments. His transition from law to clinical psychology gives him a unique perspective on making major career changes that are motivated by one’s sense of authentic purpose.
After taking the New York bar exam he spent three months backpacking around the world before starting work at a prominent law firm in New York City.
He is an Eagle Scout and lived in northern Sweden for a year between high school and college while on a Rotary International scholarship.
Outside of work he enjoys exercising, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
